Cronus summons forth the power of the stars to send after Olympia's heroes, and brings Orion down from the skies.
Summary[]
Jay is at making new plans to trap Cronus and he says that with Theresa's psychic abilities and Atlanta's hunting talent they would be able to track down Cronus. Neil is at a photo shoot in a burger joint when a girl approaches him. Her name is Cassie, and she is an intern for a TV show. She tells Neil that she saw him on a diaper commercial and thinks that he is star quality. She then tells Neil that she wants to profile him. He agrees, and leaves the shoot for the burger joint. She also wants to meet his friends and get their views on Neil for a full report. He brings her to meet the heroes and completely disregards their secrecy. Jay resists being on camera and Theresa, Atlanta and Archie go off on a hunting competition, with the loser buying two large pizzas.
Their game is interrupted by the star being, Theresa senses its presence and the girls catch sight of it before it goes after Archie. So the boys ditch Cassie to go help Theresa and Atlanta look for Archie. Theresa's powers lead them to the star bowman whose belt is adorned with three stars. The man disappears just as Cassie sees the situation. Archie also reappears, to Atlanta's delight, completely unharmed and having no idea what happened to his friends.
The team splits up, with the boys to track down the bowman, Orion, and the girls to catch Cassie and take the tape and wipe her memory. Meanwhile, Cronus sets Orion after Atlanta for revenge on Artemis.
Jay says that Orion is missing from the constellations. They goes back to school and a little later the girls come in, with the tape, but lost Cassie in a crowd of tourists. Artemis says the connection between her and Orion and fears that he might revenge on Atlanta if he comes to know if she was special to her. The team goes back to the woods for further investigation.
Orion captures Cassie in the woods, while the heroes are on her trail. Herry takes on Orion in an effort to save Cassie, Archie and Theresa try next, but Orion's target is Atlanta. She outruns all the arrows he shoots and makes him chase her through the woods. She refuses to sell out Artemis, but shows him his engagement gift and explains Artemis' mistake. Orion sends his well-wishes to Artemis and returns to the stars.
The heroes rescue Cassie and Theresa wipes her memory of their identities and special abilities from her mind. Cassie runs away from Neil and Atlanta learns her lesson about accepting every challenge people put to her.
Notes[]
- Neil has a desire to be on TV, and mentioned multiple times, and implies his "good side" is the view of him from behind when he turns his upper body slightly to the right.
- Atlanta says her favourite pizza is veggie pepperoni.
Mythology[]
Artemis was challenged to hit an impossible target by her brother, Apollo, (who was "protective" of his sister's maidenhood) which was Orion's head, swimming away. She shot an arrow and struck her target. When she realized it was Orion, she was heartbroken that she couldn't save him. Apollo then help her place Orion in the stars so she would never forget him. There are some stories which say that Atalanta is her and Orion's daughter.
