Poseidon usually takes the appearance of a merman, having an appearance of half man and half fish. He has long hair in a sea green/mint color that closely matches his green tail and he wears a small crown of shells on his head.
On occasion, he does take the form of a man, but it usually does not last long.
Personality[]
Like many other divinities, Poseidon can be rather proud and temperamental, but this is usually only when in a difficult situation against an enemy.
When in relatively calm matters, Poseidon is rather friendly and helpful to others, especially Theresa.
In the Series[]
Poseidon is the God of the Sea and one of Cronus's six children. He is armed with a giant trident that can be used by others to control water, though he also seems to be able to exert some control without it, such as when creating water tunnels.
He is depicted as a giant merman with a long sea-green beard, fins for ears and on his arms and wearing a crown made of shells. He was the father of Theseus, and Theresa is therefore also descended from him. He lives in an underwater palace beneath the sea. During the Titanomachy, he had legs in lieu of a fish's tail.
In Get Kraken, Cronus captures him and chains him to the sands of a desert in order to prevent the sea god from stopping the Kraken. He is rescued by Theresa while the rest of the heroes trap the Kraken underwater again. He appears in Time After Time, when the heroes are sent to the past in order to ensure Zeus and the Olympians defeat Cronus in the Titanomachy. Poseidon returns in season two, when Cronus strikes a deal with Poseidon's enemies, the Telkhines, to secure Theresa's pendant.
The Aloadae
The twin sons of Poseidon, Otos and Ephialtes, grew enormously at a young age. They were aggressive, great hunters, and could not be killed unless by each other. The growth of the Aloadae never stopped, and they boasted that as soon as they could reach heaven, they would kidnap Artemis and Hera and take them as wives. The Gods were afraid of them, except for Artemis changed herself into a doe and jumped out between the
Aphrodite and Ares Aphrodite and Ares became lovers during The Trojan War. After getting caught Hephaestus set a net of gold as a trap. The net trapped them both. Hephaestus brought all The Gods to laugh at the captured adulterers, but Apollo, Hermes, and Poseidon had sympathy for Ares, and Poseidon agreed to pay Hephaestus for Ares's release. Humiliated, Aphrodite returned to Cyprus, where she was attended by The Charites.
Theseus & Hippolytus Theseus's son Hippolytus worships only Artemis and refuses to engage in any form of sexual contact. Aphrodite is infuriated by his prideful behavior and declares that, by honoring only Artemis, Hippolytus has directly challenged her authority. Aphrodite causes his stepmother, Phaedra, to fall in love with him, knowing Hippolytus will reject her. Phaedra commits suicide and leaves a note to Theseus telling him she killed herself because Hippolytus attempted to rape her. Theseus prays to Poseidon to kill Hippolytus for his transgression. Poseidon sends a wild bull to scare Hippolytus's horses as he is riding by the sea, causing the horses to bolt and smash the chariot against the cliffs, dragging Hippolytus to a bloody death. Artemis vowing to kill Aphrodite's own mortal beloved Adonis in revenge.

The Chosen Ones: Poseidon is on excellent terms with the teens as they often help each other in the war against Cronus.
