Appearance[]
Orpheus is a tall man with a lean but muscular build with medium length blond hair, a small beard, and green eyes. He wears a simple white toga, red headband, and Greek sandals.
Personality[]
He is a friendly man and complete romantic. He is completely in love with his lost love Eurydice and proves his love for her when he mistakes Theresa for his wife and lets her borrow his lyre and lead a gang of angry souls to attack Cronus to allow the heroes to escape.
Role in the Series[]
In Man's Worst Enemy, Orpheus' lyre is key to the teen heroes stopping Cerberus. Thinking Theresa is his missing wife, Orpheus grants her request to borrow his lyre and, upon realizing she's in danger, provides a distraction by having souls of the departed attack Cronus.
Mythology[]
Orpheus' legend describes him as being a highly talented musician who is very much in love with Eurydice. Unfortunately, she would lose her life to a poisonous snake. Orpheus could not stand to be without her and journeyed to the Underworld to get her soul back. Using his lyre, he soothed Cerberus with beautiful music and gained entry to the land of the dead where he once again used his music to get Hades to agree to return Eurydice's soul. Unfortunately, Orpheus began to grow doubtful of his wife's soul being behind him on the way back to the surface and glanced behind him to check that she was there, but this broke the deal with Hades and she was dragged back to the Underworld.
