The ancestor of Neil and original love interest of Echo.
Appearance[]
Narcissus is shown to be a young and very handsome man with wavy blond hair, and holding a striking similarity to Neil. He has a lean but muscular build and wears a light blue toga with a black belt.
Personality[]
Although his personality is not explored on much, it is stated by many, including Cronus, that Narcissus had an identical personality to Neil's.
History[]
Narcissus was a hunter who was renowned for his beauty. He was the son of a river God named Cephissus and a nymph named Liriope. He was exceptionally proud, in that he disdained those who loved him, most well-known being Echo. Nemesis saw this and attracted Narcissus to a pool where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell in love with it, not realizing it was merely an image. Unable to leave the beauty of his reflection, Narcissus died and a flower bloomed in this spot; the Narcissus flower.
Narcissus is the origin of the term narcissism, a fixation with oneself.
In The Show[]
After Neil cured the others of their amnesia caused by the river Lethe, they make it to the Elyisum Fields and meet their ancestors. It seems Narcissus gives Neil a toga as a gift, however, Neil found to be itchy and uncomfortable.

- He was mentioned but does not appear in The Last Word. He is mentioned as being the original love interest of Echo but did not love her in return, which led to their respective fates.
Trivia[]
- Narcissus is the only one of the ancestors to not be classified as a hero. This is shown when Neil is first revealed to the others and none of them figure out why he was chosen.
- It is unknown if Narcissus had any romantic interests before he died as he is believed to have not loved anyone besides himself and was alone when his time ended.
- Several fans have pointed this out and questioned how he would have descendants eventually leading to Neil.
