Cerberus is a three-headed hell hound who serves as a guard to the gateway to the Underworld.
Physical Appearance[]
Cerberus is a very large dog with three heads that have a skull-like appearance and a snake for a tail. He is one of the largest creatures featured in the series.
Personality[]
Similar to regular dogs, Cerberus can be easily distracted when food or music is involved. However, he takes his role as the guard of the gates very seriously, welcoming new souls but becoming aggressive to anyone who tries to leave whether they are dead or alive.
Role in the Series[]
Throughout the series, Cerberus guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent any souls from escaping but is friendly to those who enter. During Man's Worst Enemy, he was temporarily freed from his duty by Cronus and was let loose on the mortal realm. His mystical prescence immediately had a drastic effect on dogs as their behavior turned dangerous to the people around them. Once he is returned to Hades, Cerberus remains at the Underworld gateway to resume his duties.
