Campe is the Jailer of Tartarus.
Physical Appearance[]
Campe is a large humanoid being with a serpent tail. Her skin is a beige color with scattered spots and a black blouse that covers her torso and the dividing human and tail parts of her body. Her tail is a red color with an orange underside. She has long black nails and a large scorpion that hangs onto her back and waist.
Personality[]
Campe is very serious and passionate about her role as the jailor of Tartarus. She takes great pride in having maintained a perfect record of no one escaping from her prison but took it as a personal insult when Cronus had broken out. Since then, she became dedicated to get him back to the point that she wanted to use one of the teen heroes as bait. Once she accepted their help in defeating Cronus, she formed a strong alliance with them and often did what she could to help them capture Cronus.
Role in the Series[]
During New Years of the new millennium, Cronus escaped from Tartarus. Campe appeared in Prisoner Campe with the plan of using one of the chosen teenagers as bait to lure Cronus into a trap after hearing how the titan was after them in order to stop the prophecy. After failing to catch one of the heroes at their secure brownstone, she managed to break into the school when the gods had the teenagers stay in the gym for protection. She nearly had Herry when her identity was discovered and admitted how she wanted to use one of the chosen ones to lure Cronus back to prison.
After a fight with Jay, Campe attempted to catch Cronus alone when the titan took Granny hostage. However, Herry followed Campe when she went through the portal in order to save his grandmother. Though they were caught, Campe realized that it would benefit her to team up with the chosen ones since they all shared in the same goal of wanting Cronus back in prison.
Unfortunately, the chance to catch Cronus slipped away when she willingly decided to save Herry when he nearly fell off a cliff. Since then, she formed a strong alliance with the heroes and provided her help any time they came close to sending Cronus back to Tartarus.
During the moments when Cronus went back in time to change the outcome of the titan war, Campe was seen throwing him in prison for his second imprisonment, although to Campe it was the first time.
Mythology[]
In Greek mythology, Campe or Kampe (/ˈkæmpiː/; Greek: Κάμπη) was a female monster. She was the guard, in Tartarus, of the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, whom Uranus had imprisoned there. When it was prophesied to Zeus that he would be victorious in the Titanomachy—the great war against the Titans—with the help of Campe's prisoners, he killed Campe, freeing the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, who then helped Zeus defeat Cronus.
